Sr. Victoria Swanzy-Essien
Sr. Victoria Swanzy-Essien, SSND, is an experienced nurse practitioner and faith-based leader with more than 20 years of dedicated service in clinical care, religious formation, and organizational leadership within the School Sisters of Notre Dame. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (Monitoring & Evaluation) and has served in key positions at regional hospitals across Ghana.
Her leadership as a councilor in her congregation has extended across multiple African countries, where she has successfully coordinated development initiatives, international meetings, and formation programs.
Currently, Sr. Victoria serves as Project Manager of the Catholic Sisters Elderly Care Network Ghana (CSECNG). In this role, she oversees the design and implementation of elder care initiatives rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and spiritual integration. She works closely with board members, congregational leaders, and wellness professionals to advance holistic care for infirm and aging religious sisters across fifteen congregations in the network.
Known for her strategic insight, compassionate care, and collaborative spirit, Sr. Victoria continues to champion holistic health and spiritual growth throughout the region.
Abedu Emmanuel
Abedu Emmanuel is the Administrative Assistant at Catholic Sisters Elderly Care Network Ghana. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring smooth coordination of documentation, logistics, and office management activities.
With a degree in Computer Science, Emmanuel combines his technical knowledge with strong organizational and leadership skills. He is known for his intelligence, innovative mindset, and professionalism, handling every task with precision and confidentiality. Emmanuel’s enthusiasm and commitment to excellence play a key role in supporting the Network’s mission of providing quality care and service to the elderly community.
Immaculate Lugugia, DC
Sr. Immaculate Lugugia DC, is a dedicated member of the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, serving within the Province of Nigeria, Ghana, and Burkina Faso. She is committed to the Vincentian mission of compassionate service, and she devotes her ministry to promoting the dignity, health, and well-being of the elderly and infirm.
She holds certificate training in Gerontology and Education, which has strengthened her professional capacity in understanding the physical, emotional, and social needs of older adults. Her formation and training have equipped her with practical knowledge in elder care, wellness support, and holistic health promotion.
Driven by enthusiasm and a strong sense of mission, she continues to contribute meaningfully to the Church’s commitment to quality elder care. Her dedication inspires a culture of love, empathy, and excellence in service to the most vulnerable.
Sr. Mary Assunta Zaagbeb, SMI
Sr. Mary Assunta Zaagbeb, SMI is a Public Health Nurse and a Nurse Manager with over thirty (30) years of working experience in clinical care, preventive care and rehabilitative care, elderly and palliative, community engagement, advocacy, leadership and management. I’m dedicated to serving the vulnerable, women and children as well as the elderly, with compassion and dignity, in line with the charism of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate.
