CSECNG Commitment

Guided by the CSECNG mission, caregivers uphold the dignity of aging Catholic Sisters by addressing physical needs, nurturing emotional well-being, and providing spiritual care deeply rooted in faith and cultural values.

Our Role as Caregivers

Caregivers are more than service providers—they are companions, advocates, and trusted supporters who walk alongside each Sister in her journey of aging.

The Goal of Care

Through their dedication, caregivers ensure that every Sister receives respectful, personalized attention in an environment that honors her life, vocation, and enduring contribution to the Church.

A professional and friendly care provider

A CSECNG caregiver is a dedicated individual—often a religious Sister, or trained professional—who provides compassionate, holistic support to those who are elderly, ill, or vulnerable.

Care Giver

As a caregiver of my Congregation, I approached this responsibility as a duty and I did it to the best of my ability with the available resources. My main focus was on physical, nutritional and health needs.

However, with the exposure on elderly care training I had from Catholic Sisters Elderly Care Network in November, 2024, I felt a deeper calling to approach caregiving with intense compassion, as touching the vulnerable body of Christ in the sick and elderly in my care.

Care Giver

Society of the Infant Jesus, Cape Coast
As a care giver for my aged Sisters in my community, I sit at table with them to eat whilst chatting, I pray together with them and ensure that I go at their pace.
I manage to be patient with some them who like to give lengthy reflections even during intercessory prayers. It’s even worse of when there is time for actual sharing during shared prayers.
Once in a week we find an hour and half to play games.
As we are staying on a storey building, their movements are closely monitored when descending or climbing the stairs.
Living with the aged Sisters and taking care of them has really helped me to be extra patient and supportive. Thank you
