The Catholic Sisters Elderly Care Network Ghana (CSECNG) has officially launched the “Blessings in Ten” campaign to support the aged Catholic Sisters to enable them receive the dignity, compassion, and care they deserve.
For many generations, Catholic Sisters across Ghana have dedicated their lives to serving communities, offering relentless care, spiritual guidance, and essential services to those in need- the children, the sick, the poor and the marginalised.
As these selfless women of God enter their twilight years, many face the inevitable physical challenges of aging in humble circumstances.
Led by Project Manager Sr. Victoria Swanzy-Essien, SSND, CSECNG seeks to foster collaboration, education, and supportive wellness services to sustain infirm and elderly Consecrated women. The initiative relies on a simple yet transformative core message: “They once gave their strength; now we give our support.”
A Small Gift with a Big Impact
The campaign calls on the public, parish communities, and well-wishers to commit just 10 Ghana Cedis a month. While modest on an individual level, these collective micro-contributions form a vital resource stream directly benefiting elderly Sisters.
Funds raised through the initiative will go toward providing essential living necessities and critical healthcare interventions, including:
- Nutritious Meals: Ensuring daily dietary needs are met to promote good health and vitality.
- Healthcare Support: Covering essential monthly medications and routine medical care.
- Mobility & Accessibility Aids: Providing wheelchairs, walking sticks, and installing accessibility ramps in convents to enable Sisters to remain active in their community life.
How to Support the Campaign
Contributors can participate through one-time donations, a monthly commitment of 10 Cedis, or an annual commitment of 120 Ghana Cedis.
