“If I don’t do it, who will?”

Many caregivers take on every request because they genuinely care. But constantly saying yes—even when you are already overwhelmed—can slowly lead to exhaustion, resentment and burnout.

What should the caregiver do?

Pause before saying yes.
Ask: “Do I have the capacity to do this right now?”

Learn to communicate honestly.
You can say: “I want to help, but I need some time to rest first.”

Share responsibilities.
Care should not depend on one person’s strength.

Set healthy boundaries.
A boundary is not rejection. It helps make care sustainable.

💛 Key message for the flyer:

YOU CAN CARE DEEPLY
WITHOUT DOING EVERYTHING ALONE.
